About

The Lake County IN Economic Alliance (LCEA) works to strengthen the economic base and quality of life in its communities by supporting the growth of business and attracting new quality investment that result in greater employment opportunities in Northwest Indiana.

LCEA is the private non-profit, non-partisan umbrella organization supported by both public and private sector focused solely on economic development in a consolidated, coordinated, unified effort for all 19 communities and unincorporated areas of Lake County. LCEA’s key responsibilities include:

Foster County-Wide Cooperation based on each community’s desired business sectors, a win for one is a win for all.

Support Economic Development through business attraction, retention and expansion identifying developable land/existing buildings. Facilitate the economic development process start to finish including site selection, project management, community coordination, incentives, data analysis  and media relations.

Market & Promote Lake County via advertising, County/regional/state efforts, outreach, tradeshows/conferences, building and fostering relationships with consultants, companies and real estate professionals. Lake County is Positioned for Prosperity.

Achieve Effective Advocacy in supporting an attractive/improved business climate.

Facilitate/Support Infrastructure to enhance development opportunities. Public infrastructure drives private investment.

Operate a Dynamic/Sustainable Operation working with LCEA Investors, local/regional/state partners, and elected or appointed officials.
