Labor of Love Childcare, LLC is a childcare enterprise providing in home family childcare services.
What led you to start your business?
I was inspired to start my own daycare to provide families with “peace of mind” knowing that their children were in good hands while they work to provide for their families. I also understand the importance of the family structure and my role in a child’s development as a childcare provider. My goal is always to partner with parents to help them facilitate their child’s optimal growth and development.
Describe one “lesson learned” moment when starting or expanding your business.
I have always focused on “quality more than quantity” in my childcare program and businesses. I could have multiple childcare sites, but would they be quality childcare facilities is the question.
How is your business unique to the community?
We offer a family childcare program that serves families with children 0 to 2 only, we also offer Nanny Placement & Referral services, as well as community events that are open to the public like our Annual Easter Egg Hunt.
What advice would you give someone who is thinking about starting a business?
Researching the industry in which an entrepreneur would like to start a business is essential. It is also important to connect to local and National business programs like ISBDC that provide a potential entrepreneur with information and resources to be successful in their businesses. I utilized ISBDC for market research.
