Purdue Northwest Lunch & Lead Series: Innovation Leadership
December 5 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm CST
How can you inspire innovation in your team? Innovative leaders often inspire productivity in new ways and through different approaches than have typically been used and taken. The ability to inspire innovation is especially important in these times of increasing uncertainty, ambiguity and risk.
This month’s guest is Melissa Mitchell. She has grown alongside HealthLinc since 2008 as she has assumed roles from Managed Care Specialist to Chief Operating Officer to her current position of Chief Innovation & Strategy Officer. Melissa’s current responsibilities at HealthLinc include leadership and strategy execution of operations and the innovation of projects and technologies.
She is a graduate of Ball State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and has a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Management from Western Governors’ University. In 2014, she graduated from the Johnson & Johnson Health Care Executive Program at UCLA. In 2020, Melissa was inducted into the Northwest Indiana IN Business 20 Under 40 class. She also received her Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Purdue University.
Presented by the Leadership Institute and Society of Innovators at PNW, Lunch and Lead is a free virtual speaker series designed to help community and business leaders develop knowledge and skills while raising awareness of best practices from other leaders across Northwest Indiana and beyond.
