INDIANA PTAC – NORTHWEST REGION

The Indiana Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) is a part of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. We provide procurement technical assistance to help you sell your products or services to the appropriate government agency by offering confidential counseling services and workshops at no cost. The core of our procurement assistance program is counseling and education.

About

No Cost Business Advising

The Indiana PTAC works with a wide variety of partners.  Northwest Region provides service for the following counties:  Lake, Porter, LaPorte, St Joseph, Newton, Jasper, Starke, Marshall, Pulaski, Fulton, Benton, White, Cass, Warren, Tippecanoe, Carroll, Fountain, Montgomery, and Clinton providing the following services.

1-on-1 Counseling

The Indiana PTAC team offers one-on-one counseling for Indiana businesses interested in
government contracting, including how to identify and target appropriate local, state and federal agencies. Through these sessions, businesses will learn more about the services provided by our organization, determine if government contracting is appropriate and draft a company-specific marketing strategy.

Workshops & Events

The Indiana PTAC hosts training events and workshops annually to help businesses understand the government contracting process.

Certification & Registration Assistance

By navigating government registration processes, the Indiana PTAC helps businesses begin working with government entities more quickly and efficiently. Additionally, Indiana PTAC counselors will identify and determine if your business is eligible for set-aside programs, and then assist with the required certification.

Bid-matching Service

Through a comprehensive bid-matching program, the Indiana PTAC will match your company’s products or services with government entities interested or planning to buy. Additionally, the bid-matching program identifies government award histories, highlighting products or services that had been purchased and the purchase prices.

Subcontracting Assistance

The Indiana PTAC will identify and connect businesses to potential sub-contracting opportunities with large contractors located in or outside the state.

GSA Schedules

The Indiana PTAC helps businesses navigate GSA Schedules, which are long-term, government-wide contracts with companies that offer access to commercial products and services, and determine if it is appropriate to register for the program.

Product and Procurement Histories

The Indiana PTAC will provide businesses with technical descriptions and relevant background information regarding products with national stock numbers (NSN).

Assistance with Federal Regulations & Military Specifications

Indiana PTAC will guide businesses through local, state and federal government regulations, including Military Specifications (MIL-SPECs) and Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR).

Proposal Preparation

Indiana PTAC counselors will help businesses understand contract solicitation and proposal requirements. While the Indiana PTAC cannot draft a business’ proposal, our team will offer recommendations and review the proposal throughout the entire process.
